Cross-play support coming to Black Desert Online on PS4 and Xbox One

Black Desert Online players on consoles will soon be able to play together.

Pearl Abyss, the developers of MMORPG Black Desert Online, announced today cross-play is coming to the game on PS4 and Xbox One March 4.

Released on consoles last year, the game is currently celebrating its fourth anniversary in North America and Europe.

The MMO is known not only for its lovely visuals and a skill-based combat system, but for having one of if not the best character creation features around.

Anyway, it’s nice to see another game implementing cross-play between platforms, which means you’ll have all sorts of others to play with.

Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Comment on Possible Nintendo Switch Port

Cyberpunk 2077 is not only going to be one of the most ambitious and technically demanding games released this year, but of the entire generation. It’s shocking to think the ol’ PS4 and Xbox One will be able to even run the game. That said, despite the massive resource demands of the title, Polish developer CD Projekt Red isn’t entirely writing off a Nintendo Switch port.

As you may know, CD Projekt Red did — somehow — bring it’s ambitious and massive 2015 open-world RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to the Nintendo Switch recently (with the help of Saber Interactive). In other words, if there are video game development wizards out there who could get Cyberpunk 2077 running on the Nintendo Switch, it would be the pair of European developers.

“I don’t know if Cyberpunk 2077 would work on ...

Modern Warfare Season 2 Details and Content Revealed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC doesn’t kick off until February 11, but before that happens, it appears developer Infinity Ward and Activision have leaked Season 2’s content early over on the game’s official website. And according to the website, we won’t be getting a battle royale mode, or if we are, it’s not advertising it. What we are getting is Ghost, two new guns, and a bunch of Battle Pass filler content.

More specifically, the website confirms that Ghost will be a new Operator, and will be instantly available for anyone who cops that Battle Pass. Meanwhile, there’s also two new guns being added to the game: the Grau 5.56 (lightweight, maneuverable and full of potential) and the Striker 45 (hard-hitting and long-range SMG)...

The new Doom Eternal trailer released

A new Doom Eternal trailer dropped today, giving us another look at the eagerly anticipated shooter from id Software and Bethesda Softworks. It looks more polished than previous footage we’ve seen, and the delay seems to have given id the chance to make this game something special.

In the trailer, we see the Earth dominated by a demonic portal. Radio chatter indicates that billions of humans have died. It also seems like the demons have shattered the moon for good measure. The Doom Slayer appears to be located on some space station in orbit of Earth, which seems to have some connection to the Wraiths and the Night Sentinels.

This time around, the Doom Slayer must not only contend against the forces of hell, but he must also face down the legions of heaven...

PlayStation NYC event has fans thinking it’ll host PS5 reveal

Is Sony quietly hinting at a PS5 reveal at this NYC event?

Sony has announced it’s a hosting month-long celebration event at its Sony Square NYC store called Experience PlayStation. It kicks off today and will remain until February 16.

Although the event’s page explicitly states it’s focused on PS4 and PS VR titles, the timing has fans wondering if it’ll be capped off with a PS5 reveal.

PS4, as you may recall, was first unveiled at a February 20, 2013 event in New York Sony dubbed PlayStation Meeting. This is partially why some are suggesting Sony may be officially revealing PS5 at this year’s event.

The last time Sony showed off a new console in New York was the PS4 Pro event, which took place at the – now closed – PlayStation Theater in September, 2016...

According to a new statement from the developers: “As a flagship title for Frogwares, [Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments‘] return helps ensure the studio will remain afloat as it continues its push into self-...
