New PUBG Map and Season 6 Released for Consoles

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players on the PC got the new Karakin map a few days ago when it was added to the test servers, and the players on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions can now explore the map as well. PUBG Corp. announced this week that the map and other content included in the start of Season 6 had been added to the console test servers for players to preview before it goes live for everyone.

PUBG’s new map was announced this week when the developers said it’d be replacing one of the game’s maps temporarily to make room for it. It’s a small map fit for 64 players and has a new feature called the Black Zone that randomly destroys parts of the map and players that inhabit them each match.

New Assassin’s Creed Reportedly Leaked By Amazon

Last year, reports from credible and non-credible sources alike surfaced, claiming that 2020’s Assassin’s Creed game will take PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC players to the land of the Vikings. Whether this is true or not, only time will tell, but a new and alleged leak further bolsters the claims. The supposed leak comes way of Amazon Germany, who reportedly ran a listing for Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok – Valhalla Edition at some point before taking it down. In other words, there’s no way of verifying if the listing is real, but Metro did report on it with a screencap of said listing.

Again, there’s plenty of reason to believe a new Assassin’s Creed is not only releasing this year, but that it will be Nordic themed...

Call of Duty 2020 Won’t Have Jetpacks

Over the past few years, Call of Duty has dabbled in futuristic settings (to say the least) with much more frequency than it did in its earlier years, and though 2019’s Modern Warfare was a decidedly more grounded and realistic shooter, there’s no telling whether the series’ 2020 instalment will follow that same trend. One thing we can be sure of, though, is that the next Call of Duty won’t have jetpacks… probably.

Taking recently to Twitter, David Vonderhaar of Treyarch said (quite emphatically) in response to a fan asking whether there will be jetpacks in the next Call of Duty that that wouldn’t be the case...

Grand Theft Auto 5 Easter Egg May Hint at GTA 6 Setting

It’s well known that Rockstar Games likes to tease future projects by putting hard to find and equivocal Easter Eggs in their current games. That said, a possible new Easter Egg in Grand Theft Auto V has been discovered, and many GTA fans seem to think it could possibly be hinting at the location of GTA 6. As you may know, the current rumors floating around Grand Theft Auto VI — which hasn’t been officially announced yet — is that it’s taking players back to Vice City (Miami), and also taking players to South America for the first time. In other words, the game will feature multiple locations...

More custom loadout slots are coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s smallest, but nonetheless annoying problems will soon be fixed.

Since launch, avid Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have been complaining about the limited number of custom classes available in multiplayer. Previous Call of Duty games allowed players to unlock several new slots by Prestiging.

Now that the Prestige system is gone, everyone is stuck with the same five slots the game launched with. Activision has yet to even offer to sell more custom slots to players, as we’ve seen in other Call of Duty games.

Infinity Ward art director Joel Emslie recently responded to a couple of feedback points on Reddit, among which was the issue of limited custom slots.

“You and everyone else that has commented on this are right,” Emslie wrote, referri...
