Ubisoft reveal massive changes to Rainbow Six Siege esports

Amid the reveal of Operation Void Edge and the Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 reveal, Ubisoft has also revealed some exciting changes to the format, structure, and sustainability of its flagship esports title.

For starters, Rainbow Six Esports is making a concerted push towards better regionalisation. For many years now the different competitive regions of Siege esports – EU, LATAM, NA, and APAC – have been treated in broadly the same way, which creates lots of issues for regions like APAC where huge distances between teams makes scrimming very difficult. APAC is now being split into two divisions in order to address that issue with Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian forming a single, highly competitive, online league of 12 teams, while a separate division is formed in the Oceanic region...

Modern Warfare Season 2 Details and Content Revealed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC doesn’t kick off until February 11, but before that happens, it appears developer Infinity Ward and Activision have leaked Season 2’s content early over on the game’s official website. And according to the website, we won’t be getting a battle royale mode, or if we are, it’s not advertising it. What we are getting is Ghost, two new guns, and a bunch of Battle Pass filler content.

More specifically, the website confirms that Ghost will be a new Operator, and will be instantly available for anyone who cops that Battle Pass. Meanwhile, there’s also two new guns being added to the game: the Grau 5.56 (lightweight, maneuverable and full of potential) and the Striker 45 (hard-hitting and long-range SMG)...

The Elder Scrolls 6 Possibly Entering Full Production

Back at E3 2018, Bethesda announced it was working on The Elder Scrolls 6, the next entry in its popular and long-running fantasy role-playing game series. However, at the time, it suggested the game was still very, very far away. Further, it was confirmed that its sci-fi role-playing game, Starfield, would release first. In other words, it sounded like the next installment would not hit until around the middle of 2020s. And this may still be the case, however, some new job listings suggest we may get it a tinsy bit earlier.

Over on Zenimax’s official website, Bethesda Game studios is hiring for numerous positions to help develop “bleeding-edge” RPG games for PC and consoles. In other words, it’s on a hiring spree, which seems to suggests the game is entering full production...

Cyberpunk 2077 Delay is Apparently Because Of Current-Gen Consoles

Several days ago, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would be getting delayed from its previously-agreed date of April 16 of this year to September 17. Previously the reason hadn’t been disclosed, but a new source has given us a possibility: the Cyberpunk 2077 delay reason is because of the current-gen consoles.

Going by the source, Borys Niespielak, current-generation consoles like the Playstation 4 and Xbox One aren’t actually powerful enough to run Cyberpunk 2077 properly, as performance suffers heavily on both. The delay apparently only happened when the issues were not able to be resolved by this month.

Considering how big and ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be, it’s not a big surprise that CD Projekt RED wants it to perform as well as possible on all of its plat...
